UN secretary Antoniu Gutherresh at the Shanghai Cooperation Summit called for the stop of war in Ukraine. It was reported by Ukrinform on Tuesday, September 2.
“In Ukraine, the time has come for a long time for ceasefire, which will lead to a fair, comprehensive and sustainable world – in accordance with UN Charter, International Law and UN resolutions,” said the UN Secretary General.
Gutherresh also called for gas fire cessation, the release of all hostages and not injuring access to the Palestinian population with human help.
“From Sudan to Myanmar, Sahel, Afghanistan and other regions … We should protect the civilian population, contribute to dialogue and provide peace,” the secretary of the general said, adding that SCO has “unique opportunities to promote the development of a more peaceful, inclusive and sustainable future.”
The summit of leaders of countries participating in the Shanghai cooperation organization was held in the city of China of Tianjin on August 31 – September 1. The event was attended by UN Secretary General Antoniu Gutherrish, head of PRC, India, Turkey, Armenia, Pakistan, Russia and other countries.
