Ukrainians trust the media in general.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the sociological group “Rating” in the period from April 1 to 19, reports the rating website.
It was noted that relatively more channels for trust in the telegram (29%) and YouTube channels (24%). International and Ukrainian online media trusts or trust 16%more.
At the same time, most Ukrainians do not trust any telecommunications:
- 39% do not trust or, rather, do not trust;
- 24% hesitate;
- 19% hard to answer.
Sociologists also found that almost 40% of respondents never check the accuracy of information, only 18% always do this:
- Check the authenticity of young people (18-29 years), respondents with higher education, as well as military and veterans;
- 35% believe that it is easy or earlier to distinguish truthful information from false in the media, 28% – that it is difficult or difficult for them to do this.
The most common practice of authenticity verification:
- Use of your own intuition and experience (34%);
- Comparison with several authoritative sources (25%).
The survey was conducted by personal interviews in all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of temporarily occupied territories. It was attended by 2 thousand respondents at the age of 18.
