“We look forward to a unique discussion of joint steps in a sufficient response to Russia’s denial of peaceful efforts and the increasing terrorism against the Ukrainians,” Sybiga said.
He also expressed gratitude to NATO and the allies of Ukraine for ongoing support and active peaceful initiatives.
Sybiga emphasized that Russia should feel greater pressure due to the continuation of the war.
The NATO-Ukraine Council is a format of regular consultations between the Ukraine and the North Atlantic Alliance, created to adjust coordination of cooperation in military, political and security areas.
An extraordinary meeting gathered in response to critical events or exacerbation of the safety situation – for example, after a massive attack by the Russian Federation or a significant addition of the conflict.
