During a complete invasion of Russia in Ukraine – from February 24, 2022 – the war earned the life of 221 artists and 108 Ukrainian and foreign intermediaries.
This was announced today, August 29, the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine (ICSC).
These data relate not only to the scale of losses, but also resemble the tragic pages of our history. Just as in the 1920s in the early 1930s, the Stalinist regime destroyed the generation of Ukrainian artists, so today Russia purposefully destroys the cultural elite of Ukraine, ”ICSC handed it down.
The ministry published lists of artists and media that died during the invasion of Russia.
