Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, responded to petition No. 22/145362-ep, which proposes a ban on issuing subpoenas at checkpoints, gas stations and on the street.
This was announced today, August 1, on the website of the Office of the President.
Zelensky’s response noted that the procedure for notifying conscripts about their call for military service during mobilization and delivery of subpoenas is regulated by the relevant acts of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.
Considering the above, I turned to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal with a request to comprehensively work out the issue raised in the electronic petition in the context of respect for the rights of citizens and the legislation on military duty and military service, Zelensky said in response to the petition.
This petition was registered on June 29 and received 26,740 votes, with 25,000 votes required for consideration.
