Russian invaders stole a barge carrying watermelons from Kherson to Kyiv. The Kherson edition of the Bridge reported this on Monday, August 1.
“One of the unofficial symbols of the Kherson region, a barge carrying watermelons grown in the region to Kyiv, was abducted by Russian invaders. Local public wrote that the barge should be moved in the area of Antonovsky Bridge,” the message said.
The barge on which the watermelons were transported belonged to the Nibulon company, owned by Aleksey Vadatursky, who recently died in the Russian shelling.
Kherson watermelons have been brought by the Nibulon fleet to Kyiv since 2017.
The company joined the pilot project of the US Agency for International Assistance USAID – US Agency for International Development Creation of an effective logistics supply chain for fruits and vegetables.
