Russia has repeatedly denied western security guarantees for Ukraine, in particular, the availability of NATO troops, analysts.
The United States in Coordination in Europe develops security guarantees for Post -war Ukraine, and the Kremlin seems to have rejected this proposal. This is stated in a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Analysts note that the Russian Federation has repeatedly rejected Western security guarantees for Ukraine, in particular, the availability of NATO troops.
The ISW provides a recent statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the NBC News, where he said the states in the west, including the United States, should not be responsible for the post -war security of Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Ministry’s press secretary Maria Zakharova, also said that Russia has denied any scenario that provides for the emergence of a military contingent in Ukraine with the participation of NATO countries.
“The Kremlin is likely to reject the US and European proposal about the security guarantee like this, reported, discussed American and European officials,” concludes the ISW’s analysts.
We will be reminded that the Institute’s analysts earlier for the study of the war reviewed the results of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin at the summit, which took place in Alaska. Despite increasing attention to the event, Putin’s position in the war in Ukraine remained unchanged.
