Canada Prime Minister Mark Karney arrived at Kyiv for a 34 Independence Day celebration. He reported it on Social Network X on Sunday, August 24th.
“He just came to Kyiv, Ukraine. In this day of Ukraine’s independence and this critical moment in its country’s history, Canada has strengthened the support and efforts of achieving a fair and long -world world in Ukraine,” he wrote.
In this regard, the head of the office of the President Andrei Ermak published a video of the Canadian government head meeting at the Kyiv train station.
Earlier on Sunday, it was reported that Mark Carney would visit Europe-Poland, Germany and Latvia countries on August 25-27. He plans to strengthen cooperation in important areas, especially in a collective defense. His possible visit to Ukraine was not reported.
It is also known that Canada will join the Purl initiative, which provides weapons for the Ukrainian army. This was announced by defense minister Denis Shmygal.
