The Governor’s Press Secretary of Herat Mufti Mohammad Yusuf Saidi mentioned that the passenger bus, followed by Islam-Kala to Kabul, ran on a motorcycle and Mazda truck on the Ring Road, and then caught fire.
Among the dead were old men, women, children, a bus driver, a motorcycle and a truck driver. Three people received serious injuries.
He made it clear that the victims of this accident were 76 migrants who recently returned from Iran.
The provincial administration expressed gratitude to the families of the dead and said the rescue services and doctors immediately reached the scene of the accident – the victims were immediately taken to local hospitals.
Authorities have called on drivers to observe care and road policies as much as possible to avoid such tragedies.
