The draft state budget of Ukraine for 2026 will be formed on the basis of an alternative macro scene, which provides for the continuation of the war for the whole year.
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhey Marchenko stated this during a speech in the presentation of the government program, the Ukranform agency reports.
Our main macroeconomic scenario provides for the end of the war in 2025. An alternative scenario is a continuation of the war in 2026, ”he said. – Today we must be pragmatic. And therefore, during the entire 26th year, we plan to continue the fighting.
According to the minister, in accordance with the need for external financing, which is $ 45 billion. These funds are intended not only to cover the lack, but also to repay debts.
Marchenko noted that this need is not completely covered, but negotiations are already underway with key partners – the countries of the G7 and the European Union.
I think that together with our key interested parties, we will move on to an acceptable option, how these needs are closed, ”he said.
