Hungary accused Ukraine of attacking the oil pipeline in Russia, which led to Hungarian territory.
As a result, the supply of oil allegedly ceased. Budapest considers an “outrageous and unacceptable” attack on Hungarian energy security. On August 18, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary wrote about this on social networks.
For three and a half years, Brussels and Kyiv tried to attract Hungary to war in Ukraine, and more and more Ukrainian attacks on our energy security were also aimed at this. Thus, we will again clearly declare: this is not our war, we have nothing to do with it, we want to stay away, and while we are controlling the country, we will stay away! – The message says.
Siarto said that the deputy Russian Minister of Energy Pavel Sorokin assured him that the transformer station was trying to restore as soon as possible. Nevertheless, it is not known when the pipeline is put into operation again and restores oil.
The minister also emphasized that electricity from Hungary “plays a key role in the energy supply of Ukraine.”
Recall that on the night of August 15, the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of defense forces impressed the Sizran oil plant in the Samara region of the Russian Federation, which is one of the largest in the Rosnaft system. The company produces a wide range of fuel, among other things, by aviation kerosene.
