Britain’s current proposal provides for the ensuring air safety in Western Ukraine, the preparation of the Ukrainian military and the Black Sea clearance.
Great Britain left the plan to send to Ukraine a 30,000th peacekeeping contingent to protect the largest cities, reports The times.
The reason is the lack of readiness of all countries The hunting coalitionsformed by the United Kingdom and France, direct troops in the Ukrainian territory.
After a television conference with the participation of Donald Trump and European leaders, British prime Minister Kar Starmer said European states have prepared reliable military plans for expanding “support forces” in Ukraine after reaching a ceaseal agreement. However, London’s current proposal provides for a more “realistic mission” – ensuring air safety in Western Ukraine, Ukrainian military preparation and Black Sea clearance.
The publication note from the original idea to send a large contingent to protect cities and ports decided to refuse. More than 30 countries discuss participation in the mission, but in some European chapters they consider it to be too dangerous to deploy thousands of military men, therefore, the required amount of forces does not get for the required amount of Russian residualization. This has caused a failure in countries that are ready to send troops.
Instead of a major -military presence in Ukraine, Great Britain plans to strengthen economic pressure in Moscow.
Starmer also said there was a “real” opportunity to end an agreement following Trump’s meeting with Putin in Alaska, and European allies promise to help implement it.
The Hunting Coalition statement to the EBA has been emphasized that in the framework of regulating the armed forces of Ukraine and its cooperation with other countries cannot be imposed on any restrictions. Moscow, in turn, insisted to reduce the number of Ukraine’s armed forces, significant restrictions on Western military assistance and the exclusion of Ukraine’s entry into NATO.
“Ukraine should have a reliable security guarantee to ensure the sovereignty and integrity of the territory, and coalition members are willing to play an active role, including the implementation of the ready -to -deploy support of support forces after the end of the adventures,” the document said. “Russia cannot impose a veto to enter Ukraine in the EU and NATO,” they added in a statement.
