Some civilian facilities, including residential buildings, were destroyed in the city. Fire broke out at the landing sites.
On the night of July 31, the invaders stoned the city twice. This is perhaps the heaviest shelling since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Mayor Alexander Senkevich wrote this on Telegram.
“Today, Nikolaev underwent a massive shelling. Perhaps the strongest of all time. Loud explosions were heard after one in the morning and around five in the morning. Several things were destroyed, the buildings of residence is damaged,” wrote the mayor.
According to him, many fires broke out in the “arrivals” areas. Rescuers are working.
At 7:00 a.m. on July 31 in Nikolaev, an air alert was again declared.
Let’s remind, the explosions in Nikolaev were distributed literally within three minutes after the announcement of an air raid alert.
Earlier, the enemy opened fire in the Kharkiv region, as a result of which the combined heat and power plant and the housing estate were damaged. The policeman guarding the thermal power plant died. Two civilians were injured.
