The chancellor’s office is the “bottleneck” through which German military aid slows down.
Arms supplies to Ukraine from Germany have been slowed down by the department of Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Bundestag Defense Committee, Marie-Agyness Strack-Zimmermann, report on Saturday, July 30, DW.
“The biggest bottleneck slowing down Germany’s military aid is, for whatever reason, the chancellor’s office,” Strack-Zimmerman said.
At the same time, he believes that the German government should resolve the supply issue no later than the end of October. According to him, everything points to the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin will “continue his deceitful campaign,” so German politicians “must not rest.”
Earlier, the media also reported that Germany was disrupting the supply of weapons to partners. Berlin admitted that despite lengthy negotiations with Poland, Slovenia, Greece and the Czech Republic, it has not signed a contract with any of these countries.
It has also been reported that some of the German PzH 2000s in Ukraine are out of order.
