Up to 40 cm of snow fell in some areas of New South Wales, which is the largest indicator since the mid -1980s.

The eastern Australian regions cover the strongest snowfall in several decades. Reuters reported it.

As meteorological bureau meteorologist Miriam Bredberi noted, the cold air in front of August 2 brought heavy snowfalls, as a result of which up to 40 cm of snow fell into some areas of New South Wales.

It is the largest indicator since the mid -1980s.

“Climate changes have become more stable during Australia in recent years, but such events have happened in history,” Bredberi said. – “Unusual this case makes not only the amount of snow, but also its distribution – the rain covers most of the northern cliff.”

Due to the heavy rainfall, state -emergency situations have recorded more than 1450 calls. According to them, more than 100 vehicles were blocked by the snow, the storms were damaged by buildings, and many warnings were issued.

State police said that on Saturday night the vehicle was stuck in flood waters, and the passenger took a stream of nearly 20 years. The search operation continues.

Remember that a sudden flood in Texas occurred on the night of July 4, almost no warning, that the evacuation measures were impossible.
