The Ukrainian State Center for National Patriotic Education is planned to be liquidated.
Within six months, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has been taking frequent steps aimed at eliminating this profile of the institution of extracurricular education. The center is trying to join the Small Academy of Sciences, whose field of activity is very far from what the center is doing. This is indicated in the petition in which No. 41/008359–25ep is published on the web site of the president.
It is noted that the Office of the Ministry of Education and Science does not pay attention to the permission of the Verkhovna Rada, the denial of people’s deputies, public organizations and the military.
The application states that the liquidation of the institute profile (even in accession to another institution) bears significant risks, in particular, the destruction of the system of national patriotic education, in particular, the Sokol (Yura), destruction of the training system for protecting Ukraine using sports tourism and orientation, expression with students and youth students.
The presidential website of Ukraine published a petition to preserve the Ukrainian State Center for National Patriotic Education, local history and tourism of student youth, as an independent state institution of extracurricular education. Currently, the petition No. 41/008359–25ep, which was registered on July 14, was signed by 1 thousand 866 people.
We recall that the previously announced cancellation of the Order of the Ministry of Education No. 1112, which concerns distance learning in schools since July 18, does not mean the abolition of distance learning, since the safety of children remains in the conditions of the priority of the war.
