Tiktok updates parental control tools: Adults can now monitor online children’s active children, limit access to unwanted content.
The Tiktok introduced a number of new functioning that enhanced parents’ control of the children’s platform. Euronews reported it.
Changes affect the family pairing tool, giving you the parents and accounts of the children to create a safer online environment.
In that updated version, parents are able to:
-
receive notifications when the child publishes the video publicly;
-
Check confidential settings, especially – if downloading video is available;
-
hide unwanted accounts so that they do not appear on their child’s recommendations;
-
Block access to individual profiles (first in Europe, followed by a global launch).
In addition, Tiktok has introduced a new function of well-being, which will help to develop healthy online adigles. Users can go through special “missions” to limit time to the front of the screen, receive badges and training materials – it’s all in the new module directly in the application.
For content creators, new options also emerged. Among them is the creator of care mode, which automatically filters offensive comments even before they publish them, as well as new tools for live broadcasts that give you to hinder unwanted words, phrases or emoji in real time.
Tiktok plans to gradually introduce worldwide functionality in the coming months.
Earlier it was reported that Tiktok introduced new tools that would help parents control their children’s activity in the application.
