The Czech side has given up on the preparation of new military assistance packages.
The Czech Republic is preparing new military assistance packages for Ukraine, especially in the field of wind defense, electronic warfare and long capabilities. The head of the Ministry of Defense Denis Shmygal, said this after a meeting with Prime Minister Czech Republic Tomashaza on Wednesday, July 30.
During the meeting, the parties focused on providing the most pressing needs of the Ukrainian army. According to Shmygal, special attention is in the supply of ammunition. The minister noted that the Czech initiative has become a very important tool for providing major caliber shells.
“Future delivers are discussed in detail: specific schedules and plans, both for this year and in 2026. Along with the Czech Republic we will develop the mechanisms of the Czech initiative so that our warriors are given the necessary shells,” the head of the Ministry of Defense.
Another promising area that the parties discussed was cooperation in the field of the defense industry.
“We are already creating joint adventures and implementing many important projects, especially for making Bren 2 shells and rifles in Ukraine. Through the Czech delegation, we have evaluated the possibility of launching new projects in the Czech Republic with the participation of leading Ukrainian companies to support Ukraine’s defense forces,” said Ukraine’s defense forces, “said Ukraine.”
Separately, the Czech side provided knowledge of the preparation of new military assistance packages. As Shmygal emphasized, it would be “a significant strengthening in the field of wind defense, RB and long -long capabilities.”
Remember that the Czech government approved the program for the training of Ukrainian pilots, implemented by the Lom Praha state enterprise on behalf of the Ministry of Defense. We talk about 150 hours of flight training worth about 32 million kroons ($ 1.4 million).
We added that the Czech initiative to buy artillery shells in third countries has allowed Ukraine to transfer 1.6 million ammunition.
