The number of killed and wounded as a result of the Russian shelling of a penal colony in the Zaporozier region increased.
Now 17 dead convicted and 42 wounded. Harta was hospitalized in hospitals. About 40 were injured in various severity. One employee of the institution received fragile damage to the face. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine reported this in Telegram.
It is noted that yesterday at 23.28 Russian aviation dropped four guided aviation bombs in the territory of Bilenko correctional colony. The bombardment completely destroyed the dining room, and the administrative headquarters of the apartment and the Karantan site were also significantly destroyed.
The minus emphasized that the perimeter of the institute is not damaged, and there are no threats of prisoners.
This blow again demonstrates a gross violation of the international humanitarian law by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. According to the ministry, the shelling of civil infrastructure, in particular penitentiary institutions, is considered a war crime.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Prosecutor General said that the investigation against criminal proceedings in accordance with part 2 of art. 438 (a war crime that caused the death of people) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
We recall that Russian invaders attacked one of the prison institutions of the region. Initially, 16 dead and 35 wounded were reported.
