Belarus announced “Developing Contacts” in the United States

Shidlovsky noted that the embassy also conducts a communication with public American organizations, the humanitarian community, and the expert community.

“That is, there is a certain interest in Belarus. But diplomacy loves silence, so I can’t say at this stage,” the diplomat added.

Answering the question of the possibility of mutual accreditation of ambassadors, Shidlovsky noted that “At this stage, Belarus is conducting a communication with the American administration, the necessary contacts are established and supported, but in particular this topic is not yet on the agenda.”

The United States suspended its embassy in Minsk in 2022. The Belarus leadership supported Russia’s invasion against Ukraine and allowed the use of military infrastructure and airspace to attack the Russian army and the abolition of Ukraine cities.

Remember that in June, the formal head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko met with a special US president in Ukraine and Russia, Keito Kelllog.

In March, Lukashenko said he was willing to organize negotiations between the leaders of Ukraine, USA and Russia. He suggested that Belarus be a place of “agreements”.
