The “Servant of People” faction will be supported by the presidential bill on the return of independence SAP and Nabu. The information that up to 70 deputies cannot vote is not true, the Yulia Palichuk faction told the public press secretary.
Earlier, Financial Times wrote that some of the deputies may be afraid of persecution by anti -corruption bodies and, therefore, will not vote. The alarm seemed to arose after the chairman of SAP Klimenko said in an interview with the public that the Department for Molecules would understand the process of limiting their powers. At the same time, in a commentary on FT, he assured that SAP and Nabu are involved only in corruption.
The public source in the leadership of the faction confirmed that some of the deputies did not actually support this initiative, but this is a “significant minority”. The reason is that it is not fear, but the belief that the previous law had logic regarding the responsibility of NABU and the juice of the prosecutor general.
Another source noted that some deputies were still afraid of the discovery of affairs. Another representative of the faction said that number 70 was surprised in the total chat.
On July 22, the council adopted a law that actually eliminates the independence of NABU and SAP. The president immediately signed it, and the next day he entered into force. Prior to this, Nabu and SAP, corruption crimes committed by high -ranking officials were investigated independently, and now the Prosecutor General can interfere with any business.
