Macron announced the need to demilitate the Hamas, a large -scale humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, as well as ensuring security and restoration.
French President Emmanuel Macron said his country in September recognized Palestine as an independent state. Macron on Thursday, July 24 wrote on Social Network X.
He noted that this recognition will be held in September during a UN General Assembly meeting.
Macron emphasized that recognition of Palestine is “an obligation to a fair and powerful world in the Middle East.”
“We need an immediate stopping, the release of all the hostages and a large -scale humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. We must also guarantee the demilitarization of Hamas, as well as ensure the safety and restoration of Gaza. Finally, we must build the state of Palestine, ensure its effectiveness and guarantee that it is, in its safety.
Earlier in Israel, they called Macron’s initiative to recognize Palestine “disaster”.
Palestine is a slightly recognized state in the Middle East. The state of the state of Palestine occurred in 1988. The country’s government did not fully control the territory that the Gaza sector was among them. A significant portion of the territory of the western bank of the Jordan River is controlled by the Israeli army, and the East Jerusalem Israel considers its territory. In April 2024, 143 of the 193 UN member countries recognized Palestine as an independent state. Among them there are Ukraine.
Remember that on Thursday the United States and Israel stopped negotiations with Hamas. The reason is that Hamas’s “sincere desire” is lacking.
As reported, on July 20, the IDF announced the onset of land operations in Deir El-Bala-one in several districts in the middle of the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli army did not conduct an offensive to the ground. The military has ordered civilians to evacuate from the south -western city, preparing to expand the adventures.
