Collected donations are primarily sent to gambling, cryptocurrency investment and other personal needs.
The National Police in Absentia informs Lvivyn Nazariy Gusakov about suspicion of cheating on charity fees. Law enforcement officials have evidence that he has taken funds worth more than 1.3 million UAH. On Thursday, July 24, it was reported to the National Police and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, a 31-year-old LVIV with spinal muscle atrophy (SMA) officially had a free drug provision for treatment as part of the city program. But, despite this, he continued to raise funds allegedly buying the same drug.
To raise funds, Gusakov used the support of public individuals and posted calls to be given on social networks, Telegram channels, online platforms (Paypal, Buymeacoffe, etc.). Generally, during 2023-2024, he collected more than 1.3 million UAHs.
According to case materials, funds are not fully used for treatment, but are primarily sent to gambling, cryptocurrency investment and other personal needs.
Gusakov in absentia is known about the suspicion of fraud, perfect on a particularly large scale. It is known that in June this year he went abroad.
Law enforcement officials have inquired more than 400 people as witnesses and have installed thousands of transactions worth more than 100 million UAHs, made as “charity donations.”
Currently, the exact number of people listed “charity donations” for the suspect have not been established – these are thousands of transactions. It has been established that only those who have moved more than 10,000 UAHs are more than 1,200 people.
By the end of June, police stopped the Nazeri Gusakov proxy. Nazarii used the human card to collect money.
Previously, police began the criminal tax collecting in favor of Nazaria Gusakov, which expressed the need to buy an expensive drug for the treatment of spinal muscle atrophy.
