The Pentagon emphasized that the sale of weapons will not have a negative impact on the capacity of the United States defense.
The United States of America approved the supply of Hawk missile system and equipment for Bradley Infantry Combates vehicles for $ 322 million. The information on Wednesday, July 23, was published by the American Defense and Security Cooperation Agency.
The sale provides for the supply of HAWK Phase III Missile Systems along with support systems and relevant equipment, which, in general, is approximately $ 172 million. According to the agency, the required certification has been received, and the transaction Congress has been properly notified.
It has been mentioned about five US government representatives and fifteen contractors who work temporarily in Ukraine will be attracted to fulfill the contract. The department emphasized that the transaction will not affect the capacity of the United States defense.
Another $ 150 million is provided for the modernization of Bradley’s Infantry battle vehicles, especially for their repair, maintenance and support.
“The Ukraine government has made a request for the purchase of equipment and services for the modernization of Bradley Infantry, technical assistance, training, publication and other relevant logistics elements and software support. The total cost is approximately $ 150 million,” the statement said.
Keep in mind that Ukraine will not receive the Patriot Air Defense System, which American President Donald Trump has promised, up to 2026.
Earlier it was reported that the United States of America was talking to some countries about moving Patriot Air Defense Systems for Ukraine.
