Ukraine’s persecution general Ruslan Kravchenko commented on a law that removes the independence of SAP and Nabu, which covers them in his department. In a briefing on Tuesday, July 22, he said today the structures would be a “a family”, reported the UKRinform.
“The special Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office in accordance with Ukraine’s law in the prosecutor’s office, like this, remains in the status of the OGPU department. And we will be a family. They will work in our criminal cases, we will help each other,” Kravchenko said.
For example, Ruslan Kravchenko cited the ex-minister of national physics, Alexei Chernyshov, suspected of abuse of official position and obtaining unlawful benefits. The case is investigated by SAP.
“Some journalists reported that the new prosecutor was appointed to take the Chernyschov case. And I promised you that I would not take the case of Chernyshov after these changes. As a investigation, I will see how they will end, and how the prosecutors will eventually support the SAP’s persecution of the state before the state,” Kravchenko said.
He added that he would personally visit the court session in the Chernyshov case.
“I personally go to court for Chernyschov. After all, I think prosecutors should go to court – support the state’s persecution in resonant cases: both district prosecutors and regionals,” said Kravchenko, adding that this is the work of prosecutors.
