135 tankers, which are part of the so -called “shadow fleet”, with which an aggressive country transports oil and oil products, included a list of sanctions. Since the beginning of 2024, these tankers transported Russian oil for $ 24 billion. These sanctions should “deprive the Russian Federation of important oil income, which it uses to finance war” against Ukraine. In addition, two companies participating in the transportation of Russian oil were limited. One of them is Litasco Middle East, which is a unit of Lukoil Oil Company, which is based in the UAE.
The other is the services for the transmission, which is also located in the United Arab Emirates. This company is involved in the transportation of Russian oil on ships under the flags of Gabon and Komuro.
Recall that on July 18, ambassadors of 27 countries of the European Union agreed to the morning meeting of the 18th package of sanctions against the country of aggressor. The restrictions are aimed at reducing the Kremlin’s military budget, the persecution of another 105 shadow courts of the fleet and their suppliers, as well as the ban on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines.
