President Vladimir Zelensky said Ukraine is preparing specific measures to recover funds from the Russian Gazprom Corporation on International Arbitration decision.
The head of the state was discussed with the head of Naftogaz Sergei Koresky ways of implementing arbitration decisions in favor of Ukraine in the context of preparing a meeting with ambassadors and updating activities for diplomacy.
According to Zelensky, now Ukraine has already had many positive decisions of international arbitrations worth $ 6.9 billion.
“These are fully fair decisions that show the responsibility of Russia and Gazprom and approve the force of international law. We are preparing specific measures to recover these funds, and open Ukrainian ambassadors will receive relevant instructions,” the President said.
Remember that the Naftogaz Group sent a payment demand for the Russian company Gazprom to pay $ 1.37 billion in accordance with the final decision of the international arbitration in Zurich received on June 20, 2025.
Earlier, the Paris court granted permission to enforce the Hague arbitration decision on compensation for losses caused by the illegal expenditure of the Naftogaz group ownership of Crimea for $ 5 billion.
