The ambassadors of the EU countries approved the 18th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
On Friday, July 18, the ambassadors of 27 states of the Member of the European Union agreed to the 18th package of sanctions against the country of aggressor during the morning meeting. Brussels claims that these sanctions are one of the most tough today. Kai Callas, vice -president of the European Commission, said this on the social network K.

Callas emphasized that the European Union will continue to reduce the Kremlin’s military budget, continue 105 shadow ships and their suppliers, as well as limit Russian banks access to financing.
Earlier it was reported that the 18th package will also include a ban on the work of Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines.
Slovakia opposed the new anti -Russian sanctions. The authorities of this country demanded from guaranteeing the compensation of the European Union for possible damage from a complete ban on the supply of Russian gas to the EU.
