The military assistance kit includes six vehicles with a full set of HEP 70 decontamination equipment, as well as a supply of decontamination equipment.
Germany will transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine transport and equipment for the decontamination of radioactive, dangerous biological and chemical warfare agents. The Ukrainian military is already trained in the use of such systems. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Germany.
“I also decided to transfer the package of German funds to the RKhBZ. This will give the Ukrainian Armed Forces an immediate opportunity to neutralize chemical warfare agents,” said German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht.
The military aid kit reportedly included six vehicles with a full complement of HEP 70 decontamination equipment, as well as a supply of decontamination supplies.
The value of the aid package is more than 860,000 euros.
The minister clarified that the transfer of these systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine “does not limit the operational readiness and performance of tasks of the Bundeswehr in the foreseeable future.”
Earlier it was reported that the government of the Federal Republic of Germany has secretly agreed to the sale of 100 Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine.
