Ukraine received new military assistance from Latvia.
The defense forces of Ukraine have already postponed the first batch of new patrion armored employees. The next side of the APC is already on the way to Ukraine. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Schmigal announced this on July 15 on Telegram.
He separately thanked for a new assistance package, including the supply of equipment for heavy armored patria. The Prime Minister said that the first batch of BPC has already arrived in Ukraine and the next one path, the message will say.
It is noted that in the framework of the new package of military assistance, Latvia will transfer more than 42 units of armored employees and other equipment for the total number of almost 70 million euros.
It is known that Patria 6 × 6 is an armored personnel -carrier developed by a Finnish company with the same name. The modular design allows this APC to perform a wide range of tasks: from the transportation of the infantry for use as a command point or installation of a solution.
The main version of this armored vehicle is protected from small arms and mines, but if necessary, it can be modernized to a higher level of protection. Since 2024, Patria has also been produced in Latvia.
Recall that Italy plans to translate 400 armored caterpillars from the M113 surveillance system and satellites to Ukraine.
