North Korea provided the Russian Federation with more than 12 million shells of the 152nd caliber.
The country of the aggressor received about 28,000 containers with weapons and artillery shells from the DPRK. This was reported by the South Korean news agency Yonhap with reference to intelligence of South Korea.
In June, the head of the Ministry of Defense of South Korea John John, in an interview with Bloomberg, said that North Korea sent containers to the Russian Federation, in which almost 5 million Artnam can be accommodated. And in April, Reuters said that the DPRK passed to Russia to 6 million ammunition for artillery.
It is noted that the Russians will not be so active in hostilities in Ukraine without this military assistance. In some periods of 2024, some Russian troops in most cases used the ammunition of the North Korean. And in some places, Russians depended on shells with the DPRK.
Jonhap writes that this is the most significant direct military aid of the Russian Federation in the war.
Intelligence of South Korea also believes that additional troops will go to the Russian Federation in July-August. Among them will be sappers.
Recall that the DPRK takes into account the possibility of sending labor for Russian production of Kamikaze drones like Shahd. It is planned that 25,000 North Koreans will be sent to a plant in a special economic zone of Alabuzy (Republic of Tatarstan).
