Congressmen and senators from both parties turned to the Pentagon head with calls to continue the supply of weapons to Ukraine and provide a report on a number of issues.
American senators and congressmen sent a letter to the head of the Pentagon Pentagon Pete Hegse, where they demanded the decision to freeze the supply of ammunition and weapons in Ukraine. On Friday, July 4, the author of the Senator-Democrat letter Richard Blmental told KH’s social network.
He emphasized that it is not the time to reduce American help.
“We must respond to Putin’s harsh attacks through a weapon that Ukraine needs for herself,” Blumenthal wrote.
The letter signed by the congressmen said the deliveries were currently stopped:
-
Patriot (PAC-3) anti-aircraft missiles;
-
155 mm artillery shells;
-
GMLRS Shell for her;
-
Stinger Manpads;
-
AIM-7 Sparrow and Air-Earth Air-Earth Controlled Missiles AGM-114 Hellfire.
Signers, including members of the same Chamber of Congress, ask the hegset at the end of the month to hold a closed briefing and provide written answers to the following questions:
-
What kind of weapons and ammunition planned for supply in Ukraine have been suspended as a result of this decision?
-
Where exactly do these ammunition relate?
-
The redirect of other ammunition is planned? If so, where?
-
According to the Ministry of Defense, how long will Ukraine maintain the current rate of spending of these ammunition before its reserves are depleted?
“Ukraine’s struggle for independence is not a hypothetical question. This is happening now, and we must be with us, providing the weapons needed for protection. We encourage you to cancel this decision and move the outstanding assistance provided as part of the President’s powers to occupy $ 3.8 billion, as well as the remaining 300 million allocated as part of the initiative to help the Ukraine”.
Signers emphasize that Congress is ready to provide funds to redefine ammunition reserves to prepare for future conflicts.
Other lawmakers who did not subscribe to the blmental letter called for the restoration of supplies to Ukraine. In particular, the House of US Committee on Foreign Affairs’s Honorary Chairman Michael McColus (Republican Party) on Social Network X called on the administration to quickly continue the supply of weapons in Ukraine.
“The high American military has ended the provision of this critical important weapon in Ukraine is not dangerous to the preparedness of the United States battle, so I encourage the administration to continue the supply process as soon as possible,” he wrote on KH social network.
According to him, stopping the supply of weapons by Pentagon officials only weakened President Trump’s honorable attempt to achieve peace.
McColus emphasized that Russia’s attack on Ukraine clearly shows that “Putin is nothing more than a criminal war and a thug. And the performance of a huge blow immediately after his talks with President Trump is a disregard for the President’s sincere attempt.”
The Republican has now mentioned that this is the time to adopt a two -party, Bicaplate Bill on sanctions against Russia and ensure the Ukraine weapons needed for self -defense.
Remember, according to the media, the suspension of the United States military assistance for Ukraine was a step by step by the Minister of Defense of PEDE hegset. At the same time, the military analysis shows that the aid to Ukraine does not threaten the readiness of the United States battle.
It was also reported that three US Democrats announced the beginning of the investigation to stop new sanctions against Russia, which took place more than five months after the start of President Donald Trump’s second term.
