Two million shells, as well as 1.5 billion euros, will be transferred to Ukraine. For this, Russia’s money will be used.
European Commission leader Ursula Von Der Layen said two million shells will be transferred to Ukraine, as well as 1.5 billion euros. He said this with a briefing in Copenhagen, Unn reports.
“At the end of the year, we will put two million shells. We also invested 1.5 billion euros in strengthening Ukraine’s defense,” Von der Lyain said.
He added that Russia’s money would be used for it.
“The origin of this money is very important. We use Russia’s money. In fact, Russia pays for the weapon that Ukraine will use,” said the European Commission leader.
Von Der Layen also recalled the Save Safe Program, which allowed European countries to invest in Ukraine’s defense.
“Ukraine needs more. For this there is a safe safe program for joint acquisition. This money can be used by countries to invest in them in Ukraine’s defense and provide a faster and more effective supply of funds,” Von der Layen said.
Earlier it was reported that the European Union was developing a plan for transferring nearly € 200 billion frozen Russian property to a new investment fund with a higher risk level. It is possible to make a lot of revenue and direct it to support Ukraine without affecting the fixed capital.
