Finnish police suspect the Finnish company has made fraud, dedication and laundering funds related to the supply of equipment for the armed forces of Ukraine. It was reported by the Police Press Service on Tuesday, July 1.
According to the investigation, the company entered into a contract with the Ukraine Ministry of Defense which costs nearly 5.7 million euros. As part of the agreement, the Ukrainian army should put 10,000 body weapons. However, as established during the preliminary investigation, the 5,000 body weapons do not match the quality provided by the contract.
“The preliminary investigation began at the end of 2023 based on a request for legal assistance from Ukrain. During the investigation, we worked closely with Ukrainian authorities to clarify case conditions,” said the investigation leader, the Mikko Laaksone’s criminal inspector.
The company is suspected of performing fraud, dedication and money -launching with devastating events. As part of the investigation, two people were taken carefully, but the suspicions were not confirmed about one of them.
It is expected that the investigation will be submitted for the prosecutor’s consideration to make the decision on the charges during the Tag -War of 2025.
