Russia has expanded the fleet of its shadow and has all that is needed for a significant increase in LNG exports. However, there is a problem for consumers.
The Russian government, using its shadow fleet, is trying to expand the export of liquid natural gas (lng), despite US penalties last year. This is stated in the published Sunday, June 29, Bloomberg.
The publication, which refers to satellite images, writes that the Russian ship for bringing LNG for the first time since October has been -mored at the export plant Arctic LNG 2 Novatek. This plant should be a major element in achieving the purpose of Moscow to increase the exports of the LNG three30 by 2030, but it will be idle for months.
It is noted that Russia has everything necessary for a significant increase in LNG exports, as it expands the fleet of its shadow.
Thus, at least 13 ships, including those who can swim in ice waters, are involved in the potential service of Arctic LNG 2, some of them many times management companies have changed to confuse information about the real owners. Among them are the Iris Tanker, one of four ARC4 class tanks, three other vessels await the Barents sea. Two vessels were organized in China, and another ship in floating storage in the far east of the Russian Federation. Two more vehicles stood in the Gulf of Finland.
According to those who have a businessman, Russian officials have not stopped attempts to sell LNG, holding meetings with potential consumers in India and China last year.
“China seems to be the most likely candidate, but has been given a continuous decline in Chinese demand for the past eight months, it will be a difficult task. The fact that more than one million cubic meters of LNG, which has been uploaded last year, remains unceasing and in a floating vault, has not promised that there is no good for the new attempts to sell additional volumes now tags -” American Arctic Institute of Malta GPPerts.
However, merchants expect whether the United States or the EU will improve things after exporting.
As reported, the European Union has refused to introduce the ban on importing Russian liquid natural gas to future penalties.
Remember, despite a significant reduction in gas supply from Russia after 2022, the EU last year increased the import of liquid gas from the Russian Federation – it covers 19% of the needs of the European Union.
