The Ukrainian minister does not advise trying to “shout” Russian propaganda, but simply shut it down.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba appealed to Western countries to shut down state media in Russia.

“Russian state media is not an alternative view and has nothing to do with media freedom. It is state propaganda, its only purpose is to distort the truth, destroy democracy and destroy freedom of speech. Don’t try to shout them down, shut them up just do it,” wrote Kuleba Twitter on Wednesday, July 27th.

As you know, Russian propaganda still calls massive war crimes by Russian troops fake and staged by Ukraine.

In Russia itself, a law was passed on the extrajudicial closure of media outlets for spreading fake news about the war in Ukraine.
