Russian leader will take part in the events of the BRICS summit in Brazil “using video communication”.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will not participate in the BRICS summit in Brazil in July because of a warrant. This was said by the assistant to the head of Kremlin Yuri Ushakov, Rossmi reported on Wednesday, June 25.
According to him, the leader of Russia will take part in the events of the BRICS summit in Brazil “using video communication.”
“This is due to some difficulties in the context of Musa’s requirements. You know, in this context that the Brazil government will not be able to create a clear position that will allow our president to participate in this meeting,” Uhakov said.
In Brazil, Russia will represent Foreign Affairs minister Sergey Lavrov.
In 2023, Putin missed the Brix Summit in South Africa. This country, like Brazil, is a member of the MUS and is obliged to arrest the Russian dictator according to the issued order. In 2024, Putin’s visit to Mongolia was the first state visit to participate in the Roman Statute of MUS after the court issued the warrant for his arrest.
Remember that the International Criminal Court issued an arrest of Putin warrant in 2023 due to Russia’s entire raid on Ukraine. The Russian dictator was accused of war crimes, including evacuation of roads -children from Ukraine.
