The President spoke about coordinated measures as part of the summit and general expectations from its results.
President Vladimir Zelensky met with NATO secretary Mark Rutte in The Hague. This was announced by the State Chief’s Press Sulfenth on Tuesday, June 24.
The head of the state thanked the invitation to the peak of the North Atlantic Alliance. It is a clear signal that Ukraine is among the priorities of the NATO agenda, he said.
Rutte emphasized that the current event was a continuation of the NATO Summit in Washington of 2024, where Ukraine’s path to the alliance was not refined.
“Last year’s Washington Summit decisions were very important, and it is important that this course will not change,” Zelensky.
The President noted that Ukraine hopes that the final declaration of NATO Summit will be signals about the additional support of the Ukrainians in the struggle against Russian invasion.
The leaders coordinated steps as part of the summit and discussed joint expectations from its results.
Zelensky emphasized that Russia continues rocket-crop terrorism against civil infrastructure and people. Therefore, one of the major tricks of the discussion is the strengthening of air defense and support for the development of Domestic Defense Production by NATO members.
In addition, it is about accessing partners – members of the North Atlantic Alliance in acquiring weapons.
Remember, on June 24-25, the NATO Summit took place in The Hague. Tomorrow a Zelensky meeting with American President Donald Trump can take place.
