Western partners aim to supply 25 to 30 multiple rocket launchers, HIMARS and MLRS to Ukraine.
The United States is working to get the necessary military equipment to Ukraine as soon as possible. This was announced on Tuesday, July 26, by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in Twitter.
“This afternoon I spoke on the phone with my good friend and colleague in Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov. I assured him that we are working to get equipment to Ukraine as soon as possible to fight Russian aggression,” wrote he.
The conversation between the head of the Pentagon and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine was also reported in the press service of the Pentagon. They noted that Austin discussed with Reznikov the outcome of the recent Ramstein meeting and continued security assistance to Ukraine, including the recent US commitment to provide additional high-mobile HIMARS artillery missile systems.
“Secretary Austin assured Secretary Reznikov that the United States is making every effort to bring equipment to Ukraine. Secretary Reznikov also provided an update on the situation on the ground. The two leaders agreed to remain in close coordination,” said the statement.
Earlier it was reported that the strikes against the invaders from the HIMARS missile system in the Izyum region of the Kharkiv region contributed to a significant decrease in the number of shellings by the Russians.
