The International Criminal Court issued a confidential report on possible war crimes committed by the Russian PMC Wagner in Africa from December 2021 to July 2024. The associated press reported this with the document.
The report refers to torture, extrajudicial executions, body disemmistment, cannibalism acts, as well as the distribution of materials and videos with these crimes on closed telegram channels.
In particular, a video was recorded where people in the military uniform were “Wagnerians” or local military forms, brutally killed civilians in Mali and Burkina-Faso. In the frame – implementations, cut feet, cannibalism scenes, including the image of the bodies in a saliva with a signature: “The meat you catch is always more delicious” with a Russian flag.
The report states that these channels are likely to be created and administered by the PMC itself to show cruelty. The materials are submitted as a form of bullying and “brand” positioning at the international level.
According to Lindsay Freeman from the Center for Human Rights of the University of California in Berkeley, PMC actively uses Telegram as a “showcase” to promote its image of ruthless mercenaries.
Professor of Washington University’s international relationship Danny Hoffman emphasized that “contact with cannibalism, ritual murder or rig is an organization with a strong form of power.”

Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service said Russia, despite the active transfer of heavy weapons and efforts to strengthen military presence through so many African Corps, loses its influence in the Sahel African region.
