The European Union hopes to accept the record of the 18th package of sanctions against Russia at a meeting of the European Council.
The European Union is preparing a record package of sanctions against Russia in response to “infinite cruelty”, said foreign minister Jean-Noel Barro, Ukrinform report.
“Last night, Russia revealed its endless cruelty, which deliberately destroyed the deadly missile and drone that strikes at civilian facilities,” the minister said before the EU Foreign Council meeting in Brussels.
According to him, the Russian economy is increasingly suffering from the “colonial campaign”, led by dictator Putin for three years.
“Russia’s economic resources will be more depleted thanks to the package of penalties, which we will probably discuss the strongest since 2022 today. It will significantly increase Putin’s pressure so that he can stop stopping and start negotiations that will lead to a fair and long -long world in Ukraine,” he added.
It should be noted that the European Union expects that the 18th package of sanctions for Russia will be accepted at the next European Council meeting, which will be held on June 26-27 in Brussels.
Earlier, the media reported that the EU had changed their minds to reduce the ceiling of oil prices from the Russian Federation, which should be a major event in the final package of blocks against the Russian Federation.
