People’s Deputy Oleksandr Yurchenko, who appeared in the bribery case, was detained in Kyiv at a checkpoint carrying a weapon. At the same time, they found a machine gun, an automatic rifle and cartridges with him. This was announced on Thursday, April 7, by Kyiv City Council deputy Alexander Pogrebisky on Facebook, a defense fighter, quoted by Channel 5.
“Today, the people’s representative Yurchenko, approaching the guard performing his duties, began to swear and poke the military man, later he grabbed the military machine gun. Of course, he did not show his ID and anonymous.
Pogrebisky said Yurchenko went to the police and filed a complaint against the military. However, later a video appeared on the network in which Yurchenko admitted that he was wrong and apologized. At the same time, he said he did not have a permit for firearms.
In connection with this, Channel 5, citing a fighter in the defense of the territory, said that Yurchenko arrived at one of the poles of the defense of the territory. He said he politely led the vehicle so as not to obstruct the race. At the same time, he did not comply with the request, but began to sort things out.
According to the soldier, the military then fired a preemptive shot upwards, then they put the people’s deputy on the wall, started looking for him to find out who he was. Yurchenko was subsequently released.
After all, Yurchenko went to the police department of the Pechersk district with a lawyer and wrote a statement to the military. Later, an investigative-operational group came to the military, they gave their explanations.
Yurchenko himself has not yet reported the incident.
