The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagard. He reported it on Facebook on Thursday, June 19.
“Thank you for coming and budget support. It is very important that this help goes on and beyond the war gives our people a normal life, where possible,” he wrote.
Zelensky and Lagarda discussed prospects for the use of frozen Russian properties for Ukraine’s needs, macrofinance stability, cooperation with European partners and integration.
In addition, the President thanked the loan as part of the ERA initiative from G7 for $ 50 billion this year.
“We do our coordination with European institutions,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Press Service of OP reported that the parties also discussed the search for mechanisms to continue sanctions against Russian ownership.
In this regard, Lagarda assured the continued financial support from the European Central Bank and mentioned the work of the National Bank.
