Ukraine expects Austria to support the issue of handling Ukrainian oligarchs and former officials hiding in Europe and hiding properties there. It was said by President Vladimir Zelensky during a joint meeting with the head of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen on Monday, June 16.
“We look forward to the support of Austria, State and Society, on the issue of former Ukrainian officials, the oligarchs that hide from Ukrainian justice and use Europe, and use Europe, are certainly used as a refuge to store their stolen ownership,” the Ukrainian head leader.
He emphasized that it was a matter of justice, especially in war conditions, when cooperation between the states in the field of justice is of key importance.
Zelensky also added that during the war it is important that “our states are working on the field of justice.”
