As a result of the Middle East, the European Union intensified diplomatic efforts to search for ways of peaceful conflict.
Foreign Ministers of the European Union will hold an urgent online meeting on June 17 to discuss the worsening of the situation between Israel and Iran. On Sunday, June 15, the EU diplomatic service said.
“In connection with the seriousness of events in the Middle East, EU’s high -ranking representative Kai Kallas began a video collection of foreign ministers on Tuesday,” the statement said.
They emphasized that the European Union carefully monitors the development of events and is deeply concerned about the risk of destabilization in the region.
European Commission President Ursula Von der Lyan said he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and confirmed European promise in the world, stability and diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing the region’s stress.
“He emphasized that Israel has the right to be self -esteem, while Iran is the main source of instability in the region. The EU is always clearly stated: Iran should not obtain nuclear weapons. The situation requires an urgent diplomatic decision,” he wrote on social network X.
Remember, on June 13, Israel caused wind strikes throughout the Iran territory, including nuclear, military and energy facilities. In response, Iran attacked Israel using missiles and drones.
According to preliminary estimates, approximately 140 people died as a result of Israeli strikes, among them – Iran officials. In Israel, 15 people were killed by Iran’s shelling. The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine announced the deaths of five Ukrainian citizens, including three children, in the city of Baza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran had made an attempt to test him by releasing the missile “outside the window of his room -meaning.”
