The Armenian leader is ready for quick actions to sign the agreement, but wants to protect the country from new encroachments to Baku.
The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinian expressed his desire to end a peace agreement with Azerbaijan until the end of this year. His words on Friday, June 13, quoted Arminpres.
In particular, Pashians emphasized that it should try to sign a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan until the end of 2025. He also wants to dissolve the negotiation structures created in the Minsk Osce Group format.
He noted that some Azerbaijani circles called about 60% of Armenia’s Sovereign territory “West Azerbaijan”, which, according to him, was a territorial claim to Armenia.
Nikol Pashians added that Armenia is ready to quickly continue meetings with Azerbaijan on the signing and ratification of the agreement.
Remember that in March, Armenia joined all of Azerbaijan’s proposals to two unresolved draft peace agreements, which actually completed the negotiation process between countries.
