The bodies of the armed defense forces were returned to Ukraine.
On Friday, June 13, 1,200 dead were returned to Ukraine as a result of repatriation measures. Repatriation took place in accordance with agreements in Istanbul. The Coordination Headquarters of prisoners of war managed reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that law enforcement officers and experts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will conduct all the necessary exams and the identification of repatriated bodies.
The headquarters said that the bodies were able to return to the results of the joint work of their employees, SBU, the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ombudsman office, the secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons of Disable Persons in Special Circumstances, SES and other security structures and defense of Ukraine. They thanked the International Red Cross Committee with their help.
We recall that on June 11, according to the results of repatriation measures, 1 thousand 212 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine. From among the “on the shield”, the defenders fell from Kurshina, the Kharkiv, Lugansk region, to Donetsk -Region, Zaporozhye and the Chestson region.
