US secretary of the US defense Pete Hegset stated on June 10 that the United States aims to reduce its budget for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine in 2026.
According to him, the “peaceful regulating war through negotiations” which is said to meet the best interests of Ukraine, Russia and the United States. But the words “success”, as well as the “path to success and world” are not clearly defined in his speech.
Analysts believe that Putin’s “theory of victory” is that Russia’s military can maintain a gradual advancement in the battlefield longer than the Ukrainian forces can defend themselves, and longer than West will be willing to support Ukraine.
