The most deadly conflict remains a war in Ukraine – almost 76 thousand died in 2023.

The world in 2024 has reached a new SAD record for the number of armed conflicts since World War II. This was reported by The Times, which refers to the information of the Swedish Project Uppsala Conflict Data Program (UCDP).

In total, 61 of the So -called “State Conflict” was recorded, of which 11 grew throughout -scale wars with more than one thousand killed in the battles.

Experts note: civilians are increasingly dying in the accident, but have become target targets.

In 2024, the number of killed civilians as a result of attacks increased by 31% to 13,900 people. Most of the deaths caused Islamic State activities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The current level of violence has been a fourth size since 1994 – the time of genocide in Rwanda.

In general, last year, as a result of organized violence in the world, nearly 160 thousand people died. The most deadly conflict was the war in Ukraine – almost 76 thousand died in 2023.
