The birth rate in many countries of the world has reached low indicators, on Tuesday, June 10, follows the new UN Foundation report in the field of population (YUNFPA).
The study was conducted among 14 thousand people in 14 countries, including USA, India, Brazil and Germany.
The main barriers to the birth of children, respondents are called difficulties with a combination of work and parents, poor state support, health problems and political establishment.
According to the forecasts of the organization, over the next 90 years, the planet’s population will grow by 3.1 billion people, while the main increase is expected in the countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America. In Europe and Japan, by contrast, the population will be contracted in the mid -21st century.
The birth rate index in the EU is reduced to 1.38 children each female fertile. The lowest indicators are marked in Malta – 1.06, in Spain – 1.12 and Lithuania – 1.18. Bulgaria became the leader in terms of birth rate – 1.81, France – 1.66 and Hungary – 1.55).
The birth rate reduction in EU countries has been ongoing since 2008. Experts have been linked to a trend with inflation, pandemia and climatic anxiety.
Ukraine’s population will drop this year to 35.8 million to 42 million, which in 2022, and by 2051 it can still drop to 25.2 million.
